The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has just released the results for the 2025 First Series WASSCE for Private Candidates (GCE)! If you wrote the exam, it’s time to check your scores. But wait, there is some shocking news about how candidates performed.

How candidates performed?

Total Candidates: 9,054 students sat for the exam.

Gender Split: 4,384 males (48.42%) vs. 4,670 females (51.58%).

Only 26.96% Passed Well! Just 2,441 candidates scored credits in 5+ subjects (including English & Maths), the minimum requirement for university admission.

That means over 73% failed to meet the standard!

Why Some Results Are Missing?

  • 95.55% (8,651 candidates) – Results fully released.
  • 4.45% (403 candidates) – Results not fully processed due to errors made by the candidates themselves!

  2. Enter your Exam Number
  3. Select Exam Year (2025)
  4. Choose Exam Type: PRIVATE CANDIDATES
  5. Enter your PIN & Serial Number (from your scratch card)
  6. Click “Submit” and view your result!
